Product facts
EN 13758-2 UPF 40+

Clothing with solar UV protection properties

Garments marked according to EN 13758-2 provide UVA + UVB protection against the sun. Sun exposure can cause both immediate and indirect damage to the skin. The use of garments with UV protection reduces the dangerous exposure.

Only covered parts of the body are protected. The garment’s protective function can be reduced when stretched or wet and can also be negatively affected by wear and tear.
Garments evaluated according to EN 13758-2 are marked with the symbol below and give you as a wearer a protection of UPF 40+ (an ultraviolet protection factor of at least 40 and an average UVA review of less than 5%).

There are similar UV standards that set different performance requirements for both material and design. EN 13758-2, however, sets a higher minimum requirement (UPF 40+) to provide adequate protection regardless of where in the world you are.

EN 13758-2 is not a CE certification and is therefore not covered by the PPE Regulation.
